It’s getting cold here. Who am I kidding really? Isn’t it always cold here? ☹. Anyway, in anticipation, I ordered some fleece fabric a few weeks ago from myfabrics.co.uk. Since I’ve never made anything from fleece, I first made a toile with some remnant fleece fabric I got cheap from same supplier.
The pattern is Burda 9672, and I made the jog bottom for my youngest as practice run. It was easy and the fleece sewed like a dream. I didn’t even have to use special needles on my B380, just universal ones with longer stitch length. The Craftsy class on Sewing with Fleece: Essential Techniques I bought a few weeks ago came in handy.
One thing I noticed though is that the sizing is quite small. I made size 6 (116cm) for my 5-yr old and it was quite snug in the crotch area, though length was spot on. I’ll go up a size or two for him next time.
Here it is, nothing fancy.
Hopefully, the other views will be straightforward as well.
Till next time.
