And here’s my finished Deep Ocean Twist jumper.
Taking pictures was a nightmare as it’s been consistently grey, but we managed these shots today.
Pattern – Rose Twist from garnstudio.com
Yarn – Drops Nord (45% alpaca, 30%polyamide, 25%wool) – colour deep ocean mix and Kid-Silk (75% mohair & 25% silk) – colour petrol.
I added a bit of length to the body and sleeves, other than those, I did not add/sub to/from the pattern.
I absolutely 💖 the finished object and have worn it once. I love the little details such as the garter stitch at the shoulder seam. It’s very warm but very light. I found it a bit uncomfortable next to my skin for a couple of hours after putting it on, but that soon passed. I’ll have to find a top to wear underneath it that will not hide the open cable. I was worried the open cable would be too low, but it’s not at all.
I’d say it’s not a difficult knit, but some aspects definitely need paying attention to. I really love that garnstudio.com gives tips on how to increase and decrease stitches, and also have videos that show how to work some of the trickier stitches. More about this jumper in my posts Deep Ocean Twist and Parts of a Whole.
Till next time.
