Basic hand sewing stitches #5: the tailor tack — Sewing on the Edge with Barbara Emodi

I came across this very useful video today, and I already know it’s going to improve my fabric marking process tremendously.  First because I spend way too much time transferring pattern markings first onto one fabric layer, then the other, and so on. Secondly, it took me time to find a pen marker that would have faded by the time I needed to press, so I have some garments with the markings still slightly visible after several washes; even then I didn’t like using them on light fabrics. With this however, I’ll be able to mark several layers at a go with no residue, and I think that’s great; good timing too because I plan to cut some fabrics this weekend.

Till next time, enjoy.
